Within
a couple of minutes, Josh had come over to the centre and was
leaning out towards us. I was quite excited to finally hear
"Lucy's about to beach" - which everyone has been raving about,
and quite rightly too. And I think my heart totally went into
my stomach when they did "Army of Two", closely followed by
"Until my Ship comes in"....
In
between each song a madman somewhere at the other side started
shouting "F***ing Wicked" much to everyone's amusement after
a while....
Comedy
moment: Someone threw a pair of bright pink pants at Josh, prompting
some very strange looks.
The
new song, "burning all the photographs" was great, although
the little lead-up story Josh told, sounded so true that it
made you want to climb over the barrier and hug him. And then,
wayhey! Fresh Prince! Which rocked as per usual. Everyone yelled
their guts out and made a lot of noise. Another crowd shouting
moment was in "You knock me off my feet" where the "oooh"'s
nearly lifted the roof!
And
soon they were gone, but not before Josh told everyone that
they would come out and meet us all later, and Stu did a magnificent
leap from behind his drumkit....
So
we waited amongst many many people for them to appear... and
there I am at the merchandise stand and Bah! Stu is stood next
to me! And what a sweet fella he is too. I wandered for a bit
and then found Steve sitting on a ledge with apparently "wet
trousers". He wasn't sure what he had sat on though. Apparently
"it smelt" or so he told my friend. Anyway, what a great bloke!
He was a "proper rock star" as far as I am concerned and he
was lovely. Really cool. And so onto Josh... waiting.... waiting....
(millions of girls are also waiting to talk to Josh)... and
finally.. (woohoo!) I get to the front of the queue. Thing is
by now, a good hour after they finished, I think he must have
been rather bored, so I felt mean bugging him and just got his
autograph and a photo and left him alone. Nice guy though. And
just as gorgeous in the flesh!
Anyway,
that's my review...what a great night.. one of the best gigs
I've been to, even better than the one at the Evening News Arena.
Thank you for entertaining me!
