I was a member of the local crew at the newcastle gig...I was told to be there for 1 O'clock, when I arrived the tour bus was already there. I waited for the PA people I work for to turn up, when they did we discovered the building was deserted....So we unloaded the van and waited and waited....we were all a bit worried no-one would turn up to open up for us and there would be no gig! But two hours later we were finaly let in!

We started to set up the support bands PA system which took a while! Then the Dum Dums really posh digital PA system went up. Next was the turn of the Dum Dums crew to set up there amps, and the stage started to take shape, in came Stu's lovely little blue drum kit and up it went on to the stage. Now it was sound check time for the Dum Dums gear - after that the Dum Dums lighting went up....it was realy cool! Then the support acts gear went on and was sound checked ready for the gig!
